This photo, taken around 1965, shows York City, Pennsylvania Police Chief William H. Kapp, Jr. with three bright red Harley-Davidson police motorcycles, recently delivered for service with the police department. It is interesting to note that Chief Kapp's father was also a York City Police officer serving from 1914 until 1937. Chief Kapp recalled his father would take him in for a ride in a motorcycle sidecar in order to get him to go to the dentist.
