As the result of numerous emails from interested parties, the board of directors of the Police Heritage Museum is actively discussing the future of the "Wheels of Law Enforcement" police vehicle show. It is undetermined at this time whether a 2010 show will be held, or if the show will resume in 2011. Please continue to watch this page for additional information as it becomes available. Updates will also be posted on the museum's Facebook page.
At the June 2009 monthly meeting of the board of Directors of the Police Heritage Museum, Inc., a discussion was held regarding the future of the Wheels of Law Enforcement police vehicle show.
Among the many issues discussed were the location and date of the show, visitor and participant comments, staffing issues at the event, the state of the economy and its effect on the 2009 car show, and whether or not the event still meets the goals set when the event was first established in 2003.
After a lengthy discussion of the board members in attendance at the meeting, it was decided to forgo holding the event in 2009, to give the staff of the Police Heritage Museum a chance to evaluate the above issues and to determine the future of the event.
We regret having to make this decisison, but we feel it is in the best interests of the museum and the event.
Any persons who would like to comment on the car show, especially regarding any of the above issues, are encouraged to contact the car show committee with their input.
